Setting up an RSS is helpful for keeping in contact with all your web interests. It would be great for students keeping track of a teachers blog, or other student blogs. It also saves time, and helps keep the distractions down such as advertisements and 'cosmo' quizzes.
Since it keeps track of a specific blog, it means learning from some one else's experiences (Siemens 2005). This can also develop abilities in problem solving.
